From the first shot to the finished report
Our biggest update yet: a big-clock stamp, three capture modes, sensor readings and reports anyone can open
-
Big-clock Field stamp
The new signature stamp: a large clock with a thin green rule, the date and weekday. Start from it or from any of 12 built-in templates, from Survey and Construction to Delivery, Maintenance and Agriculture.
-
21 stamp fields
Time to the millisecond, time zone, address, Plus Code, accuracy, speed, heading, facade, air pressure, tilt, hashtags, custom text and more. Edit Stamp shows a live preview with a switch for every field.
-
Photo, Video & Timelapse
Pick Photo, Video or Timelapse under the shutter. Video and Timelapse are part of Pro.
- Pro
Pause video, clock to the millisecond
Pause and resume a stamped video, take photos while recording and watch the clock run to the millisecond. 1080p60 and 4K30 on supported devices; timelapse stamps every frame.
-
Refine, lock or enter GPS
Average readings to refine your position, lock it for the next shots, or type coordinates by hand — the stamp marks them as manual.
-
Level indicator
An on-screen level keeps horizons straight and walls upright. Tilt, air pressure and magnetic field come from your device's own sensors, where it has them.
-
Reports: PDF, Excel, KMZ, ZIP
PDF, CSV and KML stay free. Pro adds Excel with thumbnails, KMZ with camera direction, a ZIP of original or stamped photos, and PDF layouts with 1–6 photos per page.
- Pro
File naming
Build file names from the date, time, address, coordinates, code, a counter and your note.
- Pro
Auto-copy to a folder
New photos, videos and reports are copied to a folder you choose — on your device or a cloud drive's folder — with an optional Wi‑Fi‑only setting.
-
Draw on photos
Mark up a shot with pen, highlighter, arrows, shapes and text. The original photo is kept unchanged.
- Pro
Audio notes
Record a voice note of up to 2 minutes with any photo. It stays on your device and is included in your backups.
-
Edit many at once
Change the note or tags of many photos in one go.
-
Direction & track map
See which way each photo was taken, follow your track with distances and filter by 8 directions. Fix a location or direction on the map; the original values are kept.
-
Tags, notes and search
Tag your photos, add a note to any shot and find anything later by place, tag or note.
- Pro
App lock
Lock GeoSnapr with a PIN or your device's biometrics, such as Face ID or a fingerprint. Biometrics are checked by your device and never leave it.
- Pro
Verification code
Pro adds a code and QR code to the stamp, with a network time check and mock-location detection. Anyone can check it on our Verify page.
- Pro
Batch stamping
Pro stamps many gallery photos at once, using each photo's own location and capture time or a place you pick on the map.
-
Full-resolution capture
Stamps are burned into high-resolution photos straight from the camera sensor — not a screenshot of the preview — and you can keep shooting while each one is processed.

Frequently Asked Questions
Support Center →How do I use GeoSnapr?
Open the app and allow camera and location access. The camera preview shows your location, time and weather as overlays. Choose a preset, drag overlays where you want them, and tap the shutter. The stamped photo is saved to your Records.
Is GeoSnapr free?
Yes. GeoSnapr is free with ads. Photo mode, all 21 stamp fields, the 12 built-in templates, GPS tools, tags and notes, drawing on photos, batch editing, the direction map and PDF, CSV and KML export are free. GeoSnapr Pro is an optional one-time purchase — not a subscription.
What does GeoSnapr Pro include?
Pro removes ads and the GeoSnapr watermark and unlocks video (with pause & resume) and timelapse, Excel, KMZ and ZIP reports and PDF layouts, file naming, auto-copy to a folder, audio notes, batch stamping, saving your own templates, the verification code stamp and app lock. You pay once; there is no subscription. The price is shown in the App Store or Google Play for your region.
Can I stamp photos I've already taken?
Yes. Importing and stamping a single photo is free. With Pro, you can choose many gallery photos and stamp them in one go. GeoSnapr uses the location and capture time stored in each photo (EXIF), or a place you pick on the map, and looks up the address and the weather at that time. If a photo has no location, pick one on the map.
Why isn't my location showing?
Check that GeoSnapr has location permission and that location services (GPS) are on. Indoors or among tall buildings, getting a fix can take a moment — the app shows a waiting state while it searches and can use your last known location in the meantime. Moving to an open area usually helps.
How do I verify a GeoSnapr photo?
Open the Verify page on this website, enter the GSR-XXXXX-XXXXX code printed on the stamp (or scan its QR code) and choose the original photo file. Your browser recomputes the code from the time and place recorded in the photo's metadata — the photo is never uploaded. Messengers often remove that metadata, so use the original file. The code helps spot edits; it is not legal proof. To also check that the pixels are unchanged, use Verify a photo in the GeoSnapr app on the device that took it.
Where are my photos saved?
Photos are stored in the app on your device, in the Records tab, and stamped photos can also be saved to your photo gallery. They are not uploaded to our servers. Use the backup feature to keep a copy elsewhere.
How do I restore my Pro purchase?
Go to Settings › GeoSnapr Pro › Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account you used to buy Pro.
